My name is Tony aka thegippygeek in January 2018 whilst contracted to the Wellington Shire to assist in setting up the new Port of Sale Library I ran a demo on coding and robotics. The interest from parents and children left myself thinking that there is a gap that could be filled with a code club.

The Wellingtion Shire Code Club is part of a nationwide network of volunteer-led coding clubs with a mission to #getkidscoding! We are a charity with the aim of giving every child the skill, confidence and opportunity to shape their world. All Code Clubs are free to join, and are supported by volunteers, parents, educators and our partners.

Some things to note:

  • Code Club is free for everyone!
  • Calling all kids to learn how to collaborate, create, communicate and problem solve! Code Club is project based learning, and aligned to the National Digital Technologies Curriculum
  • Being part of a Code Club means meeting like-minded people, making new friends and coding awesome things together!
  • Having Fun!!
